Pi Alpha XI—The Honor Society for Horticulture (PAX) held its 2010 Open Photography Contest during the ASHS Annual Conference, 5-8 August, 2010 in Palm Desert, California.

Contestants submitted digital entries to any of 4 categories:

  1. Flower—The flower, flowers, or flower parts of a plant; or a floral arrangement;
  2. Plant —A plant or plant part, other than flowers;
  3. Landscape—A landscape or interiorscape with plants as the principal focus; and
  4. Challenge—Still Life (a photograph of inanimate hort-related objects such as fruit or flowers).

A total of 24 entries were judged in the contest.

Contestants did not need to be PAX members.
