This facility also produces 4¼" annuals and perennials, quart perennials, grasses, ferns, and lilies, as well as 1-gallon annuals, perennials and ornamental grasses, hanging baskets, herbs, vegetables, and a complete line of bedding plants – so there is something for every plant fetish you may have. Topic:
Ending the Cycle of Poverty Among Some of the Rural Poor in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil

Professor Shock will discuss his horticultural mission to Brazil. Although his initial horticultural goals were achieved, he found that the social needs were more important and thus, he redirected his work.  Professor Shock and his wife developed farm plans for 52 individual poor farm families out of many thousands and used NGO funds and free market pass through loans to deliver resources to the families at modern lending institution rates. These farm families have become more prosperous and escaped abject poverty and the effects have spread to neighboring counties.

The International Breakfast Meeting is chaired by Dr. Essie Fallahi, ASHS International Division Vice President.
