Beginning in 2011, ASHS Conference attendees were provided a new opportunity to access detailed poster/oral abstracts on their smart phones using QR codes.  The new service was called Mobile Abstracts and included all 800+ abstracts presented at the conference.  We continued this service as a benefit for attendees of the 2012 and 2013 conferences.

In 2014, we are introducing AbstractsPlus, a new website designed to allow presenters to enhance their Poster, Oral, Workshop or Colloquium abstract that is viewed on the Mobile Abstracts website - abstracts.ashs.org/2014.

AbstractsPlus creates a portal around each abstract that links to an image of the poster design, an audio or video describing the project/presentation and one or more websites offering supporting information.

Begin enhancing your abstract by visiting AbstractsPlus at: hvp.osu.edu/abstracts

Your account has already been created and login information will be sent via email.

After logging in, click on Instructions for additional information.  You will be able to upload a photo, audio recording, video and/or web links; you can also enhance your profile with a photo or add a link to your online bio.

The enhanced version of your abstract can be viewed at the 2014 Mobile Abstracts website: abstracts.ashs.org/2014

During Annual Conference in Orlando, Tim Rhodus, ASHS Editor for Digital Information Resources will be available in the Registration area to assist authors with recording and uploading photos, audio and video to AbstractsPlus.  Bring your files and check with Tim about enhancing your 2014 Abstract.

Don’t forget to pick up your Mobile Abstracts card at Registration.  It will connect you to all the conference abstracts and is the only way to view the Enhanced Abstracts.

Feel free to email Tim Rhodus (rhodus.1@osu.edu) or Ernest Witney (witney.1@osu.edu) with any questions.

See you in Orlando,
